Abstract
The intense competition in the business world urges companies to enhance their human resources, especially in the management of millennial and Generation Z employees. Surveys indicate that the majority of them tend to leave their jobs due to boredom or job dissatisfaction, making job satisfaction a crucial issue for management, especially given the dominance of the younger generation in the workforce. This research aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance and job satisfaction among millennials in East Java. The sample consists of 105 respondents who are millennial employees in East Java, born between 1981 and 1996, with a work tenure of more than 6 months in East Java. The study utilizes Structural Equating Modelling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) and employs a Google Form questionnaire for data collection. The findings reveal that transformational leadership directly affects employee performance. Additionally, the research indicates that transformational leadership also directly influences job satisfaction. However, the study does not find a significant influence of job satisfaction on employee performance. Furthermore, the research does not identify transformational leadership as mediating employee performance in relation to job satisfaction. These findings suggest that effective leadership positively impacts both performance and job satisfaction. "Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Employee Performance, Job Satisfaction."
