Abstract

The information technology has affected the performance of the individual. In a study of college operations or perform a task, people always use information technology to support the activities. The information technology is essential to improve the quality and work skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of information technology to the performance. Factors that favor the use of information technology is the social, affective, complexity, task adjustment, long-term consequences, and facilitating conditions. The use of information technology in improving the performance of a person, made for students to use information technology (computers and internet), the study was conducted with students from Surabaya Perbanas. The data used for this study is primary data obtained from questionnaires. Respondents were students majoring in accounting S1 in 2009 until 2011, which is still active in learning Perbanas Surabaya, they were 90 respondents. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Statistical analysis was used for linear regression analysis. The results showed that the use of information technology (social, affective, complexity, task adjustment, long-term consequences, and facilitating conditions) does not affect the performance of individuals.
