Abstract
In investing, one of the motivations of investors is to get a return on share capital obtained from movements or changes in stock prices. The higher the profit rate, the higher the stock price. Therefore, if the profit earned is high, the demand for the stock price will increase, on the other hand, if the supply is high, the stock price will decrease. By using Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Investment (ROI), and Accounting Profits are expected to provide an overview and information about the company to be invested. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of ROA, ROE, ROI, and Accounting Profit on stock returns. The test uses multiple linear regression using a sample of 38 companies that have the highest market capitalization in the LQ45 index in the 2016-2020 period. The results of the partial test show that accounting profit has an effect on stock returns, while ROA, ROE, and ROI have no effect on stock returns. Simultaneous test results obtained that ROA, ROE, ROI, and Accounting Profit have no effect on stock returns.
