Abstract

In this globalization era, consumptive behavior becomes interesting topic to be observed. People become very consumptive about anything without consider between something needs and desires. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of financial literacy and demographic factor to consumptive behavior. Samples were drawn from 110 students of bussiness college in Surabaya. Method of data collection is through distribution of questionnaires with judgment sampling technique.Multiple Regression Analysis is used to test the hyphothesis. The result of this study show that financial literacy indecrease consumptive behavior of business college students in Surabaya and demographic factor has no positive effect on consumptive behavior of business college students in Surabaya. Keywords : Financial Literacy, Gender, Parents Job and Consumptive Behavior.
