Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the company's financial performance before and after the merger or acquisition at the acquirer. The company performance measured by financial ratios including the ratio of activity, the probability ratio,liquidity ratioand the solvency ratio.This research used secondary data obtained from www.idx.co.id and Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) period 2006-2010. The sampling used was purposive sampling method. The data analysis used is paired sample T-test. The results indicate that the financial performance as measured by total assets turnover (tattoos), the net profit margin (NPM), return on assets (ROA), current ratio (cr), and debt to equity (der) did not show a difference before and after a merger or acquisition.
