Abstract
This researchaims to analyze the effect of institusional ownership, managerial ownership, dividend policy and leverage on the agency costs in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Independent variables in this research are institusional ownership, managerial ownership, dividend policy and leverage. Dependent variable in this research is agency cost is measured with ratio SGA. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the company’s financial statements published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Technique of selecting sample using purposive sampling.Technique analyze data on this research used descriptive statistical analysis, multiple regresion linear, classic assunption, and hypotesis testing. The result of hypotesis indicate that institusional ownership, managerial ownership, and dividend policy affect agency cost, while leverage do not affect agency cost.
