Abstract
Abstract: Factors that affect student interest in science backgrounds selecting S1 Accounting in STIE Perbanas Surabaya. This study aims to examine the factors that affect student interest in science backgrounds in selecting S1 Accounting in Perbanas Surabaya by using model Cohen and Hanno (1993) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) Ajzen Icek belongs. This study is a replication of previous research and development. The research was conducted on student class of 2015 background IPA in STIE Perbanas Surabaya with survey method. This study gained 117 respondents backgrounds IPA. The analysis was performed by multiple linear regression test. Results of the analysis for this model indicate that attitudes and motivations influence on student interest in science backgrounds in selecting S1 Accounting in STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Meanwhile, subjective norms, behavioral control, and socio-economic background has no effect. , The implications of this study are expected to be input for academics to consider the factors that influence behavioral intentions and can provide an alternative to the accounting department regarding the selection of the concentration Advancement of nature enthusiasts.
