Abstract
This study aims to look at the effect of accounting students' perceptions of the work environment and salary auditors who can be a reference for choosing a career as an auditor. The population of this research is accounting students in Colleges in Surabaya is STIE Indonesia, University of Veterans National Development and STIE Perbanas. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling with criteria accounting students who have finished taking courses Audit Practice and seventh semester students. Data collected from primary data obtained through questionnaires. Methods of data analysis techniques used are Validity, Reliability Test, Test Logistic Regression Analysis. The results of this study are the most widely chosen career by accounting students in Colleges in Surabaya is a internal accountant, government accountants, non-accountants, public accountants, accountants and educators. Auditors work environment has a positive influence on the selection of a career as an auditor, Positively, which require precision in work. While not affect their salaries to choose their career as an auditor, because the most widely chosen careers with students Colleges in Surabaya, Indonesia STIE, University of National Development Veteran, STIE Perbanas is a internal accountant, so regardless of the salary received does not affect the interest of students to be the auditor.
