Abstract
Confidence, the availability of information, perception of risk are key factors in the decision making of young entrepreneurs. The purpose of this study was to examine variables of confidence and the availability of information that affects decisions to invest, and to examine the role of self-confidence, the availability of information, and its influence on decision making through the perception of risk as an intervening variable. Number of samples in this study amounted to 161 respondents, from Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Malang. The population in this study were young, self employed entrepreneurs in the field of SME sector with the vulnerable age of 18-43 years, and has been self-employed for at least one year in the SME sector. By using multiple regression analysis, the results of this study was that the confidence and the availability of information not directly affect decision making entrepreneurship, but the confidence and the availability of information influence the entrepreneurial decision-making through the perception of risk.
