Abstract
Competition in the business world encourages financial managers to take decisions carefully, one of which decisions related to capital structure. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, assets structure, firm size, liquidity, and growth opportunity on the capital structure of manufacture company in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2013-2017. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The method used to determine the sample is purposive sampling method with sample size 84 companies. This research data uses secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2013-2017. The results of this study partially show that profitability and asset structure have a significant negative effect on capital structure, the size of the company has a positive but not significant effect on capital structure, liquidity has no significant negative effect on capital structure and growth opportunity has a positive and insignificant effect on capital structure.
