Abstract
Profitability is the corporate's ability to generate profits from the sale of the corporate, assets and capital shares. A high level of profitability indicates that the capital used by the corporate is very efficient, so it can increase the profitability of the corporate itself. The profitability ratio is measured by return on assets (ROA). Return on assets (ROA) is a ratio that shows the results of the amount of assets used in the corporate. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of ownership structure,capital structure, corporate scale and liquidity on profitability in manufacturing companies in the Indonesian stock exchange for the period 2013-2017. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Ownership structure, capital structure, corporate scale and liquidity affect profitability in manufacturing corporates in the Indonesian stock exchange. 2) Ownership structure has a significant positive effect on profitability 3) Capital structure has a significant negative effect on profitability 4) Company scale has a significant negative effect on profitability 5) Liquidity hasa significant positive effect on profitability.
