Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out and test the behavior of college students in maslahah's perspective transactions on the use of social media. This research was carried out on social media Instagram, LINE, WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. Informants in this study were college students who made online purchases on social media. Research is limited only to college students in Surabaya who make regularly at online purchases. In getting informants, researcher used the snowball sampling method. This study used qualitative methods with a case study method.. Data collection techniques in this study through interviews, observation and documentation were carried out on six informants consisting of five online college student consumers and one online college students seller on social media. The results of this study indicate that student behavior in transactions in social media is driven by several factors, namely: individual factors and student environmental factors. If studied based on the perspective of maslahah from college student behavior has been in accordance with maslahah because cheating is mostly done by the seller.
