Abstract

Debt policy is a management policy that is used to obtain funding from other parties to finance the company's operational activities. Corporate debt reporting consists of two types, namely current debt and non-current debt. This study aims to examine whether there is an effect of managerial ownership, institusional ownership, firm size (SIZE), dividend policy (DPR) on debt policy (DER) of mining sector companies listed on the IDX. The subject of this study uses mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2012-2017 period. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis test, classic assumption test and multiple linear regression. The results of the t test show that partially managerial ownership and firm size have an influence on debt policy. Meanwhile, institutional ownership and dividend policy have no influence on debt policy. Keyword : debt policy, institusional ownership, managerial ownership, dividend policy.
