Abstract
The dividend policy is the decision whether the profit earned by a company during a period will be shared in whole or in part for dividends and partly not distributed in the form of retained earnings. Factors influencing dividend policy are leverage, institutional ownership, growth, and firm size. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of leverage, institutional ownership, growth, and firm size on dividend policy. The subjects of this study consist of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2017 selected by sampling census. The number of samples used are 89 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The method of analysis in this study using multiple linear regression. The result of regression analysis is leverage does not negatively affect on dividend policy, institutional ownership does not have a positive effect on dividend policy, growth does not negatively affect on dividend policy and firm size have positive effect on dividend policy.
