Abstract
One of the production efficiency by reducing waste (waste) that will impact on the quality of the product. This study aims to reduce waste to improve product quality through lean thinking approach. The method used in this study is qualitative deskripsif by collecting data by direct observation and interviews. Methods of data analysis using RCA (Root Casue analysis). The results of this study found a critical waste, which is waiting, defact, and unnecessary inventory. The results of this study of 11 alternative solutions, finally selected three alternative solutions are considered important in choosing a selection of more raw materials, increase in inventory control and the addition of power generators. Keywords : Quality, lean thinking, root cause analysis, alternative solution.
