Abstract
User participation in information system development is an important factor affecting the success of a system. While user satisfaction is one of the successful development of information systems. This study aims to provide empirical evidence about the effect of user participation on user satisfaction in the development of information systems and prove that the complexity of the task, system complexity, user influence and user-developer communication moderate the influence of user participation on user satisfaction in information systems development. Sampling technique using judgment sampling. The samples used are staff involved in the development of information systems at the national bank in the region of surabaya and the sample obtained by 75 respondents. The method used in this study is a simple linear regression to test the effect of participation in the use of user satisfaction in information systems development, while the absolute value of the difference test to examine the effect of moderating variables. The results showed that the participation of users significantly affect user satisfaction in information systems development, the influence of users and complexity of the task moderate the influence of user participation on user satisfaction in information system development, system complexity and user-developer communication moderate the influence of user participation on user satisfaction in development of information systems.
