Abstract
This study aimed to determine the Work Readiness of accounting student at the STIE Perbanas Surabaya in terms of Ethical Competency and Knowledge Competency. This study was a mix method research. Population in this research was 260 accounting students in STIE Perbanas Surabaya who were taking courses thesis in odd semester 2016/2017. The samples obtained was 188 students drawn by purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used was Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) for quantitative analysis and Miles and Huberman model for qualitative analysis. The results of this research showed that the Ethical Competency and Knowledge Competency give effect to the Work Readiness variable at 52.7%. Work readiness of students shown by the mean number of Ethical and Knowledge Competency in the descriptive analysis was 2.89, which means the majority of respondents agreed with the statement in the questionnaire. Qualitative analysis of the results showed that an accounting students of STIE Perbanas Surabaya wanted a new curriculum on English.
