Abstract
This research purpose is to determine the effect of Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) on Profitability (ROA) with Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as an intervening variable at banking companies listed at the Indonesia Stock Echange (IDX) periode 2012-2014. The samples were collected through documentation method. Using certain criteria 30 samples of banking companies. The data analys is technique used in this research is the multiple linear regression and path analysis with using SPSS. The finding of this research were : NPL had no effect on ROA showed by the significance value of 0,799. LDR had no effect on ROA showed by the significance value of 0,095. CAR had effect on TOA showed by the significance value of 0,000. NPL had no effect on CAR showed by the significance value of 0,590. LDR had no effect on CAR showed by the significance value of 0,273. Thus the CAR is not proven as an intervening variable is proven as an independent variable.
