Abstract
Accountant profession education (PPAk) is the advance education in higher education to get accountant profession degree, that must be taken after finishing First Degree of Economic science program education majoring of Accounting (Decree of Minister of National Education RI No. 179/U/2001). This research aimed to know how career motivation and economic motivation influencing accounting student’s interest in STIE Perbanas Surabaya to follow in PPAk. Sample in this research are students of first degree of Accounting study program of STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Data taken in this research is primary data through questionnaire distribution. Number of distributed questionnaires about 110 and can be processed as 87 questionnaires. Taken data then be processed by using Multiple Linear Regression. The result of the research indicating that overall, career motivation and economic motivation as significantly factors that influencing student’s interest to follow in PPAk. Hypothesis applied (1) there is positive influence from career motivation on accountant student’s interest to follow in PPAk, and (2) there is positive influence from economic motivation onaccountant student’s interest to follow in PPAk.
