Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not just a voluntary activity, but it is the duty of the company. It is stipulated in Law No. 40 of 2007 on Limited Liability Companies that passed on July 20, 2007 (Act No. 40 of 2007, 2007) Article (1), (2), (3) criminal sanctions regarding violations of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contained in Law No. 23 of 1997 on Environmental Management Article 41 paragraph (1) (Law No. 23 Year 1997, 1997). The methods used in this study descriptive qualitative, selected in accordance with the purpose of research that describes the implementation of CSR in accordance with the real situation. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), better known in the PT. Bank Mandiri Kanwil VIII (Persero) Tbk Surabaya as the Partnership (the Partnership and Community Development Program) has become an important part in the program run. It is exposed to the impact of globalization, which, according to move his attention to social and environmental issues, where a positive image is no exception every banking company will be formed of attitudes in understanding the social and environmental issue. PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Kanwil VIII Tbk Surabaya has updated its CSR strategy into three pillars: Independence Community, Education and Entrepreneurship, as well as the provision of Sustainable Facilities.
