Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure, profitability, and dividend policy on firm value in automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Capital structure is measured using the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), profitability is measured by Return on Assets (ROA), and dividend policy is measured by the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), while firm value is proxied by market-based indicators. This study employs a quantitative research approach using multiple linear regression analysis on secondary data derived from the financial statements of automotive companies during the 2020–2024 period. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 18 companies that met the research criteria. The results indicate that capital structure has a positive and significant effect on firm value, suggesting that the optimal use of debt can enhance firm value and provide positive signals to investors. Profitability also has a positive and significant effect on firm value, as a higher ability to generate profits reflects strong financial performance and favorable future prospects. However, dividend policy does not have a significant effect on firm value, indicating that dividend distribution decisions are not a primary consideration for investors in valuing automotive companies. Keywords: Firm Value, capital structure, profitability, dividend policy
