Abstract
Financial management is the ability of individuals and groups to manage the money they have in everyday life. The locus of control affects one's financial management. This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy, locus of control, and lifestyle on financial management among people in the city of Surabaya. The number of respondents from this study was 153, with the criteria of being domiciled in the city of Surabaya and having a minimum income of IDR 4,000,000 per month. The sampling technique uses non-probability, namely purposive sampling. The analysis technique used in this study is SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square) using the Smart PLS 3.0 program. The results of this study explain that financial literacy has a negative effect on financial management and that locus of control and lifestyle have a significant positive effect on financial management.
