Abstract

Currently, investment trend has attracted millennials attention to invest in stock instruments then the investment field is growing rapidly. According IDX Annual Report in 2021, based on Single Investor Identification (SID), the number of Indonesian Capital Market investors by the end of 2021 has reached 7.5 million investors, an increase of 92.99%, dominated by young investors under 30 years old. The purpose of this research is to find out what factors encourage individuals to make investment decisions. The subjects of this study is employee of MZ generation (Millennials and Gen Z) in Surabaya City, and the number of samples is 108 respondents. This research using primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires through the Google Form. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The data was analyzed using PLS-SEM with the Warp PLS 8.0 software. The results of this study state that financial literacy has no significant effect on investment decisions, financial behavior has a significant effect on investment decisions, income has no significant effect on investment decisions, and investment experience has a significant effect on investment decisions.
