Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Financial Knowledge and Financial Education in the Family of Student Financial Management Behavior in Surabaya and to know the difference in financial management behavior of faculty of Economics and Faculty non Economics. Data were collected by test and questionnaire. Data analysis technique with regression analysis and independent sample t-test. The sample in this research is 250 students in Surabaya. The result of the research is there is a significant positive influence of financial knowledge to the behavior of financial management in the student and there is no significant positive effect of financial education in the family on student financial management behavior in Surabaya. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion can be concluded that there is a significant influence of financial knowledge on the behavior of financial management of students in Surabaya and there is no significant influence of financial education in the family and the field of science on student financial management behavior in Surabaya. Keywords: Financial knowledge, Family Financial Education, and student financial management behavior.
