Abstract

This object of this research is to investigate the impact materialism and financial attitude towards on young families in east java with impulsive buying as a mediator variable. The population of the research was the young families in east java. The samples were taken by using the purposive sampling technique and snawball sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire. The data of the research were analyzed by SEM-PLS. The result pf the research shows that materialism has an impact of -0,00 on the saving behaviour of the young families with a negative non significance and financial attitude has an impact 0,50 on the saving behaviour of the young families with a postive significance. So it can be said that the materialism and financial attitude adequate affect on the savung behaviour. When the materialism increases the savig behaviour decreases. When financial attitude increases the saving behaviour increases. The examiniation result showed that materialsim has an impact on saving behaviour with impulsive buying as mediator variabel.
