Abstract
Accounting economics education held in universities is intended to educate and produce the best graduates in the field of accounting economics. The purpose of this study was to determine whether emotional intelligence and learning behavior influence the level of understanding of accounting partially or simultaneously. This research is classified as quantitative research. The population and sample used in this study were as many as 60 respondents who were final year 2015 S1 Accounting students at STIE Perbanas Surabaya using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study was conducted by distributing questionnaires. The analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. The results in this study indicate that emotional intelligence has a significant effect on the level of understanding of accounting. The results of the analysis also prove that learning behavior has a significant effect on the level of understanding of accounting and simultaneously the variables of emotional intelligence and learning behavior influence the level of understanding of accounting.
