Abstract
The study aims to determine the effect of Accounting lecturers interest to follow the Chartered Accountant (CA) in Universities in Surabaya. Then the sample of the study is a lecturers in Accounting at the university in Surabaya such as UNESA, STIE Perbanas Surabaya, UPN, UBHARA, and STIESIA. This study used 33 Accounting lecturers at universities in Surabaya. The technique of taking sampling is using purposive sampling. The independent variable is social motivation, career motivation and quality motivation. Whereas the dependent variable is the interest of Accounting lecturers to follow Chartered Accountant (CA). Then the collecting of the data is spreading of questionnaires and then analyzed with multiple regression analysis. The results show that social motivation, career motivation, and quality motivation simultaneously affect of interest Accounting lecturers for follow Chartered Accountant (CA). Partially social motivation and quality motivation positively influence of the accounting lecturers interest to follow the Chartered Accountant (CA), while career motivation is not a positive effect on interest Accounting lecturer to follow a Chartered Accountant (CA).
