Abstract
firm value can be reflected as the asset value owned by companies such as securities. increase the high's firm value is a long-term goal that must be achieved in the company which is reflected in the market value of the stock. investors' assessment of the company can be observed through the movement of the company's stock price which transacts in exchange for go public's company. so this research aims to analyze the effect of corporate social responsibility (csr) to firm value with profitability as moderating variable. the subject of this research is mining companies which are listed on indonesia stock exchange (idx) in 2014-2016 periods and use a sampling of saturated. the research methods of analysis using descriptive statistics, linear regression, normality, hypotheses and residual. the results of this research are corporate social responsibility (csr) does not affect the firm value and profitability not proven as moderating variable in relation corporate social responsibility (csr) to firm value.
