Abstract
This study aims to know the effect of unusual market activity announcements on abnormal returns and trading volume activity. The population in this study are some companies listed in the announcement of unusual market activity on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2021. The sample companies used are 50 companies. The sample collected is data obtained from purposive sampling technique. The observation period used was 15 days including the day of the announcement of the UMA. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The result of this study shows that there is a significant difference in abnormal returns before and after the announcement of unusual market activity, and there is no significant difference in trading volume activity before and after the announcement of unusual market activity.
