Abstract
Capital structure is a comparison between the composition of debt and equity. Optimal capital structure in addition to providing high returns to shareholders, will also increase the competence of the company itself. Capital structure can be influenced by company size, asset structure, profitability and growth opportunity with a focus on automotive companies. This research is a quantitative research. The sample used in this study is an automotive company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2017-2021 period. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method with a sample size of 10 during the 5-year observation period. The data used is secondary data in the form of financial statements. The analytical technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that firm size, profitability, has an effect on capital structure. While the Asset Structure, Growth Opportunity has no effect on the Capital Structure.
