Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of profitability, asset growth, and free cash flow on dividend policies. The population in this study is a manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-2020. The sample used was as many as 150 manufacturing companies. This study was conducted using the purposive sampling method. The analytical meth-ods used are static descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study prove that profitability (return on asset), asset growth, and free cash flow simultaneously have a significant influence on dividend policy. Meanwhile, profitability partially has a significant positive influence on dividend policy, partial asset growth has a significant nega-tive influence on dividend policy, and partial free cash flow has no significant effect on dividend policy. Investors should pay attention to profitability and asset growth factors in buying stocks be-cause this study proves that profitability and asset growth have a significant influence on dividend policy. Investors are advised to buy stocks when profitability levels are high and are not advised to buy stocks when asset growth increases.
