Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of good corporate governance, financial distress and leverage on stock returns. The endogenous variable in this study is stock returns. The exogenous varibles used in this study are good corporate governance, financial distress and leverage. The population in this study is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015 – 2020. This study uses a quantitative approach and the data collection technique used in this study is the documentation method by collecting annual reports published by the company. This sampling technique used purposive sampling method, so that to totak sample 29 companies was obtained. The data analysis technique in this study used Part Least Squares (PLS). the results of the study state that good governance has no significant negative effct on stock returns. Financial distress has no significant positive effect on stock returns. Leverage has no significant negative effect on stock returns.
