Abstract
Financial performance is a description of the company's financial condition during a certain period. Financial performance is usually used to assess whether a company is good or not in getting high profits for the company. This study aims to analyze the effect of Net profit margin (NPM), Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) on stock returns of companies in the transportation sub-sector. The sample of this study consisted of 7 (seven) transportation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2016 – 2020. This study used purposive sampling as the sampling method. The data used are secondary data and the analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 25.0 program to test the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. With the t test to see the partial effect t, the F test to see the simultaneous effect and the coefficient of determination to see the ability of the independent variable in explaining the dependent variable. The results of this study are Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) partially have a significant positive effect on stock returns, Total Asset Turnover (TATO) has a significant negative effect on stock returns. Meanwhile, Net profit margin (NPM) has no significant effect on stock returns, and Net profit margin (NPM), Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) simultaneously have an effect on Stock Return. Keywords : Stock return, Net profit margin (NPM), Current ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Total asset Turnover ( TATO)
