Abstract
A museum is a place that is used as an exhibition of objects that deserve public attention, such as historical relics, art, antiquities and science. The Sumenep Museum is the only museum that has a Palace in East Java, where the relics are the Al-Qur'an, a replica of my Lord's train, there are also armor and keris that were used for war during the royal era and are still neatly stored in the Sumenep Museum. It is hoped that the Sumenep Museum will have a special marketing strategy to increase Museum visits as Sharia tourism. This study aims to determine what marketing strategies have been used by the Sumenep Museum to increase Museum visits. This study used a qualitative method for the management of the Sumenep Museum based on a direct approach through interviews, observation and documentation. This study discusses the marketing strategy of the Sumenep Museum based on Sharia principles to increase museum visits as Sharia tourism.
