Abstract

CAR is an indicator used to measure bank capital adequacy. Capital for banks is used to absorb losses arising from banking activities, and as the basis for several policies issued by Bank Indonesia. The study aims to determine the effect of the independent variables LDR, IPR, NPL, IRR, PDN, BOPO, FBIR, and Size both simultaneously and partially have a significant effect on CAR and which variable has the most dominant influence on CAR. This study uses secondary data taken from financial reports from Quarter I, 2016 to Quarter IV, 2020 at the National Private Bank (BUSN) for Foreign Exchange listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sample consisted of Bank Arha Graha Internasional, Bank Bukopin, Bank Multiara Sentosa, and Bank Victoria Internasional. The data were processed using SPSS Statistics 2.2 for windows and the F test to see the effect simultaneously and the t test to see the effect partially. The results show that LDR, IPR, NPL, APB, IRR, PDN, BOPO, FBIR and Size simultaneously have a significant effect on CAR. IPR, NPL, PDN, BOPO and Size partially have a negative and insignificant effect on CAR. LDR, IRR, and FBIR partially has a positive and insignificant effect on CAR. Size partially has a significant negative effect on CAR. Keywords: Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Size and Capital
