Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the variables of profitability, liquidity, managerial ownership and firm size on the capital structure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research was conducted based on information obtained through the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study are companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses purposive sampling method in determining the sample and multiple linear regression analysis to test the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that profitability as measured by ROA (Return on Assets) has a significant negative effect on capital structure, Liquidity as measured by CR (Current Ratio) has a significant positive effect on capital structure, managerial ownership as measured by MAN has no effect on capital structure and firm size as measured by Ln (natural logarithm) has no effect on capital structure. keywords: capital structure, profitability, liquidity, managerial ownership, firm size.
