Abstract
Capital management is very important in bank operations, because the capital owned by the bank can be used to cover losses arising from bank operations. Banks require a minimum capital ratio or usually called the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) serves to accommodate the risk of loss that may be faced by the Bank. The purposes of this study are to determine the effect of LDR, IPR, NPL, APB, IRR, BOPO, and FBIR variables on CAR simultaniously and partially, to determine which variables give dominant contribution to Capital Adeequacy ratio (CAR) at Regional Development Banks. The population consists of Regional Development Banks. The Samples were determined by using purposive sampling method. The selected banks as samples were BPD Bengkulu, BPD Lampung, and BPD Central Sulawesi. Data were collected by using documentation method and analyzed by using multiple linear analysis techniques. The results showed that LDR, IPR, NPL, APB, IRR, BOPO, and FBIR together have a significant effect on the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). LDR, NPL and FBIR partially have a positive and insignificant effect on the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). IPR partially has a negative and insignificant effect on the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). IRR partially have a significant positive effect on the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). APB and BOPO partially have a significant negative effect on the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Keywords: Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, and CAR.
