Abstract
This study aims to determine changes in the social, cultural, and economic structure of Adonara Island by incorporating the application of accounting concepts in Belis and Paca activities in Adonara Island, East Flores and to determine the activities of Belis and Paca which can affect customs on Adonara Island. The population used in this study were the people of Adonara Island who performed the traditional belis and paca ceremonies or those who had never performed the ceremony. The number of samples used in this study were 4 people, namely one woman and one man who was not married and a married couple. by using the method of indirect observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses primary data, namely data obtained directly by the researcher and the data is obtained from each particular individual who has been determined according to the criteria of the researcher in conducting an in-depth study. Data analysis in this study is seen from an accounting point of view of the Belis and Paca ceremonies, whether in the ceremony there are elements or roles of accounting that develop in a local culture. The results of this study indicate that in a phenomenon within the Adonara Island community members where we have to organize all the data that has been collected, through Adonara Island community members who carry out belis and paca with identification of norms, and develop textural descriptions, regarding phenomena that occur to informants, then explain how this phenomenon occurs, so that the root of the problem that occurs in a phenomenon that occurs in members of the Adonara Island community can be found, where the results can be explained and accounted for and can also find solutions to a phenomenon that occurs in members of the Adonara Island community related to belis and paca.
