Abstract
CAR is one of the indicators that used to measure bank capital adequacy. Capital for banks is used to absorb losses originating from banking activities. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the independent variables LDR, IPR, APB, NPL, PDN, IRR, BOPO, FBIR, and ROA both simultaneously and partially have a significant effect on CAR and which variable is the most dominant effect on CAR. This study used secondary data of publication financial statements from the first quarter of 2014 to the second quarter of 2019 at the banks listed on the Indonesian stock exchange with the sample consists of Bank MNC Internasional, Bank Capital Indonesia, and Bank Sinarmas. The data were processed using SPSS 16.0 with F and t test. The results revealed that LDR, IPR, APB, NPL, PDN, IRR, BOPO, FBIR, and ROA simultaneously have significant effects on CAR. IPR partially have significant positive effect on CAR. BOPO partially have significant negative effect on CAR. The most dominant variable is IPR with a contribution of 12,96 percent. The implication of this research is to follow the conformity of bank rules, by taking into account the credit channeled so that the optimization of funds owned by banks can be done, this can benefit business people besides the bank itself. For banks to provide opportunities to increase capital.
