Abstract
Economic development in a country is very dependent on the development and role of financial institutions such as banking. As happened in developing countries, Indonesia is also still dominated by lending as a source of financing in the business world. Smooth credit distribution activities can have a positive impact on the economic development of the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Operational Income Operating Costs (BOPO), non-performing loans (NPL), Return On Assets (ROA) on the amount of lending to conventional banks listed on the IDX in the period 2013-2017. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics, classic assumption tests which include normality test, autocorrelation test, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity and using multiple regression analysis techniques, model feasibility tests (F test and coefficient of determination), hypothesis testing (t test) . The results of this study indicate that: (1) partially, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and non-performing loans (NPL) have a significant effect on lending provided by conventional banks. (2) Partially, Operational Income Operational Costs (BOPO) and Ratio On Assets (ROA) do not significantly influence the amount of bank lending. Keywords: CAR, BOPO, NPL, ROA and Lending.
