Abstract

A digital library is a library system that utilizes technology. The update of a system implemented by the library depends on the librarian who is assigned as a manager. Librarians play an important role in connecting libraries and libraries. The core of the application of a new system implemented by the library is connectivity which means the library can be connected with users through a variety of available media. Ease of access to information is expected so that it can meet the information needs of users. For the sake of the realization of digital libraries that can connect needed adequate competence of librarians to include basic knowledge, interpersonal skills, leadership and management, collection management, information literacy, research and contribution to the profession, ability in the field of information technology.
