Abstract
The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of foreign ownership, firm size, and firm experience on the firm’s financial performance with intellectual capital as an intervening variable. The samples of this research taken from the mining firms listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with observation period of 2011 until 2013. The samples were collected by purposive sampling method and resulted 42 observation become the samples. Data analysis using descriptive statistic analysis and inferential statistic by Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this research showed that : (1) foreign ownership has significant negative effect on the firm’s financial performance, (2) intellectual capital can mediate the effect of foreign ownership on the firm’s financial performance, (3) firm size has significant positive effect on the firm’s financial performance, (4) intellectual capital can not mediate the effect of firm size on the firm’s financial performance, (5) firm experience does not effect the firm’s financial performance, and (6) intellectual capital can not mediate the effect of firm experience on the firm’s financial performance.
