Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the procedures and criteria for granting credit to the debtor PT. Bank Jatim Branch of Tulungagung, identify strategies are taken and policies are executed in managing risk, particularly in managing credit risk at PT. Bank Jatim Branch Tulungagung, and know the application of effective risk management in minimizing nonperforming loans at PT. Bank Jatim Branch of Tulungagung. The method used in this study is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach with case study research took place at PT. Bank Jatim Branch of Tulungagung. The focus of research is focused on: 1) Implementation of credit risk management at PT. Bank Jatim Branch of Tulungagung, 2) Non performing loans at PT. Bank Jatim Branch of Tulungagung. Results of the research is PT Bank Jatim Branch of Tulungagung in arranging credit required to actually pay attention to prospective clients in accordance with prinsip five C which is character, capital, capacity, condition of economy and collateral so as to minimize the occurrence of bad debts.
