Abstract
The phenomenon of the increasing number of Sharia Business Units in Indonesia in 2011 with various forms of products and services provided have the possibility to cause problems. The most fundamental problem is how the assessment of the performance and health of the banks that have Sharia, because as we know that the sense of Sharia in accordance with law No. 21, 2008. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of efficiency in Sharia contained in Indonesia. This research uses descriptive technical analysis using a quantitative approach. Variables used in this study are deposits, assets, and the cost of labor / personnel as input variables, as well as financing and operating income as output variables. The samples used were 12 Sharia Banking in the form of Sharia Business Units registered in Bank Indonesia which presents the annual financial statements in the period of observation 2011-2013. The data used in this research is secondary data. The data analysis technique used in this study is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The results in this study indicate that there are threeSharia Banking in the form of Sharia Business Units that achieve efficiency levels: BDP of East Java, BDP of West Kalimantan and BDP of South Sumatra, there are five Sharia Banking in the form of Sharia Business Unitsin 2011-2013: BDP of Central Java , BDP of East Kalimantan, BDP of Riau, Aceh Bank, and Bank DKI has not reached the level of efficiency (inefficiency); and there areSharia Banking in the form of Sharia Business Units in the period 2011 - 2013 which is always constant achieve an efficient level: BDP West Sumatra, North Sumatra BDP, BDP West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi and the BDP.
