Abstract
The purpose of this study were (1) To determine whether there was any effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) on financial performance (ROA); (2) to determine whether there was any effect of the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) to the financial performance (ROA); (3) to determine whether there was significant Operating Expense to Revenue (BOPO) on financial performance (ROA); (4) to determine whether there pengaruhNon Performing Loan (NPL) on financial performance (ROA) and (5) to determine the effect whether there was any effect of Net Interest Margin (NIM) on financial performance (ROA). This research was quantitative research with secondary data from the 2009-2012 period of financial statements are publicly available and listed in the Indonesian Banking Directory published by Bank Indonesia and www.idx.co.id. The sample in this study included 26 Regional Development Banks were publicly available and are listed in the Indonesian Banking Directory published by Bank Indonesia and www.idx.co.id. The object of this study were the Regional Development Banks in Indonesia. Independent variables used consisted of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Net Interest Margin (NIM), the Loan to Debt Ratio (LDR), non-performing loans (NPL), and Operating Expenses and Operating Income (BOPO). While the dependent variable was Return on Assets (ROA). Data analysis method used was a multiple linear regression, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing by t-test and F test. This results showed that the CAR don’t have significant effect on ROA. LDR don’t have significant effect on ROA statistically. BOPO statistically significant negative effect on ROA. NPL have a negative and significant effect on ROA statistically. Conclusion ROA and NPL showed a negative dan significant effect, while CAR and LDR don’t have significant effect.
