Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the financing performance of convensional and syariah banking. This study used secondary data obtained from the bank’s website is being investigated. The sampling technique this study used non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method, based on certain criteria. The population of this study Syariah and Conventional Banks. The parameters that used to compare the financial performance of banks is financial ratios which includes capital adequacy ratio (CAR), return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), loan to deposit ratio (LDR)/financing to deposit ratio (FDR), Non Performing Loan (NPL)/ Non Performing Financing (NPF), operational cost (BOPO). The result revealed significant differences that only LDR/FDR. However NPL/NPF, BOPO, ROA, ROE, and CAR there is unsignificant differences. Financing performance of conventional banks are better than syariah banks. Keywords: Convensional Bank, syariah Bank, Bank Financing Ratio
