Abstract
MAKING INVESTMENT DECISIONS IN THE STOCK MARKET BASED ON DEMOGRAPHIC PERSPECTIVE Jaqualine Maribeth Kadrin Sanu STIE Perbanas Surabaya Email : jaqualine_sanu@yahoo.com ABSTRACT Investment decision is an individual decision to put some of their funds in certain investment. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of demographic characteristics of the investment in the stock market. The sample in this research were 88 investors that investing in the stock market in Surabaya. The sampling methods used is purposive and accidental sampling. The statistical method used in this study is logistic regression analysis. Using the data from questionnaires be diffused to investors in the stock market. The results also show that demographic characteristics have positive effect to investment decision, the result also show that age and income have significant effect on investment decision. Whereas gender, education, and employment have not significant on investment decision. Key words : Demographic Perspective, Investment Decision.
