Abstract
THE EFFECT OF CONSUMPTION PATTERNS AND LOCUS OF CONTROL ON FAMILY FINANCIAL PLANNING IN SURABAYA Dita Aryuni Priasmayanti STIE Perbanas Surabaya Email : ditaryuni@gmail.com ABSTRACT Financial planning is very necessary thing to do by individual or family, because without good financial planning usage of money can’t be controlled. The money that already received through hard work will waste away because it didn’t manage properly, like fulfilling what we want but not what we need. That attitude can trigger debt and give burden financially in a family. This research is intended to test the effect of consumption pattern and locus of control to family financial planning in Surabaya. The sample in this study is the financial manager of the family both husband and wife whose live in Surabaya which had a minimum total income Rp 4,000,000 per month. The data is collected using questionnaires with using convenience and judgment sampling as sampling technique. Analysis technique that is used in this research is descriptive analysis and statistical analysis of Partial Least Square (PLS) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in WarpPLS 4.0. The result of this research shows that consumption pattern and locus of control has significant affection to family financial planner in Surabaya. Keywords :consumption patterns, locus of control, family financial planning.
