Abstract
Transparency and accountability are principles of openness and accountability of the Government to report and present activities that have been carried out to the public and the Government. The accountability is carried out so that the Government can be transparent with the planning that has been formed in its implementation. Mlirip Village Government, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency is one of the Village Governments that must carry out accountability and transparency. This study aims to describe the transparency and accountability of the Village Government towards the management of the village fund in 2018 in Mlirip Village, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency. This research uses a qualitative method after case studies in the field. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews with structured techniques. Interviews were conducted with the Village Government and the Badan Permusyawaratan Desa (BPD) which carried out the administration of the Government and several Mlirip Village communities as representatives of the community, so there were 6 informants. The results of this study indicate that the village fund financial management implemented by the Mlirip Village Government is in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. Transparency carried out by the Mlirip Village government uses information boards that are placed at each point of development and banners placed at the Village Hall Office. Even though the management of the village fund conducted by the Village Government is very good, the community's understanding of the village fund policy is still low and documentation by the Village Government is also lacking.
