Abstract
Foreign exchange is the conversion of the currency of a country against other countries to expedite the process of international trade. Bank may conduct foreign exchange transactions and provide savings products are applied in the form of deposits, foreign currency savings and checking accounts. The purpose of this study to determine the kinds of savings products in the form of currency that can be used to facilitate the international exchange transactions and their risks to be faced by customers and banks. This study uses interviews to sources associated with foreign exchange transactions by collecting qualitative and quantitative data. Results of this study was to determine the deposit products in foreign currency served by the Bank Rakyat Indonesia which is applied in the form of Savings BritAma Forex and Deposits BRI Forex, the process of opening and withdrawal of funds and disbursement of deposits, as well as knowing the risks that might arise where such risks are liquidity risk and foreign exchange risk. Key words: foreign exchange, savings BritAma currency, deposits BRI currency, Bank Rakyat Indonesia branch HR Muhammad Surabaya.
